The Shoreline Inn Grand Marais, Grand Marais

I had mixed feelings about my stay at this hotel. While the location right by the lake is stunning and the staff was helpful, the overall experience fell short due to outdated facilities and inconsistent service. It seemed like a charming spot, but significant improvements are needed to justify the rates they charge.

The Shoreline Inn has a great downtown location that makes it easy to explore nearby restaurants and shops. However, the facilities are quite dated and in need of some serious renovations, which really affects the overall experience. While the rooms were clean, it’s hard to ignore the peeling paint and maintenance issues. Breakfast options could also use some improvement, as it was very basic with no hot foods available.

This hotel has a stunning location right on Lake Superior, which is unbeatable for relaxation. The patio is a wonderful spot for enjoying the view and meeting new people. However, the hotel lacks some essential services, such as an elevator and proper room cleanliness, which really took away from the experience. Overall, it's a mixed bag with beautiful scenery but some significant areas needing improvement.
